Only 2 months til we get our very own ultimate baby!!!

Congrats to Phil and Katie who have a little one on their way...and look at that mama and papa playing like a rock stars!!!

We love you guys and can't wait to meet the new addition to our wicked fun community!

Updates!!!

1. Hilo Ultimate League VI
It has begun. Another league full of intensity, fierce competition, sick D's, hot lay outs, and spirit awards. So far yellow and red are battling for the first two places while a star studded green time tries to find its groove. Two games down but much more to go. Stay tuned for results of this awesome spring league!!!
PS: congrats to Rose, She-mo, Dan, and Lody for winning spirit awards!!! And thanks to He-mo, phil, jp, and joel for commissioning and captaining :)

2. Saturday Night Ultimate
Another good turn out for hucks under the stars in Honoka'a. We played six on six and had good fun. Doug showed us that even if you just attended a fun wedding and you're still dressed in fine jeans and a hula shirt you can still lay for it!!! Come out for the next one this month's last saturday...see our calendar at the bottom of this page!

3. Loco Moco Coed Tourney
Oahu is thinking about another small inter island tourney for this years laborday weekend (or around then). If you're interested let us know!!!

Hola! Well, the time has come again to lace up the cleats extra tight and play hard in the 8th (approximately) Hilo Competitive Ultimate League!!! Hooray!!! The sign-up sheet is attached. Email it back to me or fill one out at pick-up (and that includes you, Turners, please, if you will). I will be your Commish for now, Phil is my consigliere, and Katie is First-In-Command. The League will run from March 30 to May 4 (Finals). So sign up now, and relive all the gritty glory of the past leagues with the Spring '08 Edition!

Hilo Hat Draw Magic

Wow...what to say about the most amazing Hat Draw ever. Over 120 people from as far as Ireland, UK, Canada, Alaska, and Oahu ;)

Everyone came with great spirit, with happy faces and support. Everything went smoothly and the games were well played. 8 teams, 8 games plus semis and finals...a full weekend. Friday night was game filled and saturday we enjoyed a most delicious buffet and the wicked fun band Funkaloha!

Under The Lights

After an almost 6 months hiatus, hilo peops finally made it to Honoka'a for a superb and fun game of ultimate under the lights. The weather was fresh with one tropical rain shower and a cool breeze. But 5 on 5 kept us running and warm. Thanks to Drew for setting up this fun event every last saturday of the month.

Next Game: Saturday March 1st (since feb 23rd is taken by the hat draw).

Big Island Savage Seven

It's on...the Big Island's First Official Savage Seven Tourney on January 19th.

At this point it looks like we have enough for 4 teams playing 4/3 format. We need players, especially women, or teams to help us fill out an 8 team tournament.

Details:

Where: Big Island -Hilo (bayfront)
When: January 19,2008 (Saturday)
Format: 4/3 -Savage- absolutely no subs! 1-day only. (I figure two pools of four, top two teams in each pool advance to semi's and finals.

Cost: Between $10 and $20 - some food will be provided, maybe pizzas for lunch, and of course beer. No overnight accomodations. Pay before you play! (I'll start working on the budget pretty soon)
